What is a light gel moisturiser?

Suneeta has created a new range of light gel moistursiers that dry to a matte finish and sink into the skin in seconds. We have two gel moisturisers for the day; each with different, light and musky scents. The other exciting product that Suneeta has just finished making is our new “Sleep Mask with Frankincense and Myrhh”, a thicker gel to be patted onto the skin to work its magic overnight.

Who is it for?

These gel moisturisers are light, easily-absorbed face creams that dry to a matte finish. They moisturise, whilst mattifying the skin and controlling excess oil and shine. These new gel-creams are perfect for combination to oily skin types.

Why have we made it?

We have taken on board some of your feedback regarding the richness of our natural moisturisers. Even oily skin needs moisturising, and whilst Suneeta’s face creams made with Shea and Cocoa Butter are brilliant for anyone prone to dryness, we didn’t have anything for people with naturally oily skin… Until now!

These gel creams are perfect for tackling dehydration, dryness and will give the skin much-needed protection from daily elements, without looking at all shiny or greasy on the skin.

Gel Moisturiser with Sandalwood and Cedarwood

Gel Moisturiser with Palmarosa and Cypress

Let’s look at the ingredients...

Both Gel Moisturisers are made with the same base...

Aloe Vera

Gentle and soothing, aloe vera moisturises the skin and calms irritation. Aloe is suitable for even the most sensitive skin types, helping to improve the elasticity of the skin, making it smoother and more supple. Aloe also increases water content in the skin, leaving it hydrated but not greasy.

Grapeseed oil

Rich in vitamins and fatty acids, grapeseed oil is one of the lightest carrier oils. It disappears into your skin in seconds, hydrating and boosting your skin’s natural oils. Its high vitamin E content in particular make this a brilliant oil for troubled complexions in need of anti-oxidants, which help protect the skin from outside aggressors such as pollution, cold weather and central heating. Grapeseed oil is also high in linoleic acid, which is thought to help reduce clogged pores!

Apricot oil

Also rich in essential fatty acids like oleic and linoleic acid, apricot kernel oil is high in vitamin A. Since it easily penetrates the skin, it is good oil for all skin types, particularly prematurely aged or irritated skin. Apricot oil moisturisers whilst also softening the skin, giving you a smooth, supple complexion.

Gel Moisturiser with Sandalwood and Cedarwood oil

Sandalwood essential oil

This calming oil is anti-inflammatory, anti-septic and scar reducing. This is another great oil for oilier skin types which is great for reducing the appearance of large pores. Sandalwood is extremely popular in men’s products because of its astringent properties, making it a perfect addition to any post-shave oil or cream. It tightens the skin, which helps prevent large pores, ingrown hairs and blackheads.

Cedarwood essential oil

With a deep, musky aroma, cedarwood oil has numerous beneifts to the skin. It is anti fungal, making it brilliant for sensitive, itchy red skin, and can even relieve symptoms of eczema. Cedarwood also reduces oil production, making it a great balancing oil for greasier skin types. Cedarwood oil also minimises the appearance of pores, giving you a smoother, clearer and healthier complexion.

Gel Moisturiser with Palmarosa and Cypress

Palmarosa essential oil

Used in skincare; essential oil of palmarosa simply excels at keeping a healthy complexion. It balances sebum production, stimulates cellular regeneration, encourages elasticity and moisturisers dry skin. It also effectively combats acne, dermatitis, eczema and psoriasis. Widely used in Aryuvedic medecine.

Sleep Mask with Frankincense and Myrrh

From £6

What is it?

We are really excited about this product! It’s made with aloe vera (see benefits above), which gives it a lovely light, creamy texture. A Sleep Cream is a light night cream, to be used 2 - 3 times a week.

How do you use it?

The sleep cream is designed to be lightly patted around the face and neck, just before going to bed. It will nourish, moisturise and give new life to your skin while you sleep. You need only use the Sleep Mask twice or three times a week, for when your skin needs an extra boost!

What is the difference between a sleep mask and night cream?

This is the night cream for those of you who don’t like the feel of a heavy, richer cream at night. It is effective but easily absorbed and light. Suneeta has chosen three amazing carrier oils and two luxurious essential oils for this light golden night cream.

Avocado Oil

Dark, rich and wonderful for your skin. Cold pressed avocado oil is one of the richest sources of beneficial monounsaturated fatty acids like oleic acid. ... Not only is avocado oil extremely good at hydrating and softening your skin, is it also often recommended as an effective treatment for acne and blackheads, eczema and other forms of skin inflammation. One of the most moisturising oils

Carrot Seed Oil

An incredible oil, deep orange in colour, carrot seed oil is packed with Vitamin C. This is THE best vitamin for anti-ageing. It is healing, soothing, incredibly moisturising, and gives our sleep cream its deep yellow colour.

Jojoba Oil

This oil has a similar structure to sebum, the natural oils found in our skin, so it gives brilliant hydration for all skin types and will not block pores. Loaded with essential fatty acids, antioxidants (which fight free-radical damage from UV rays) and vitamin E, jojoba oil will help with acne, psoriasis, sunburn and damaged skin.

Frankincense

Frankincense essential oil has an earthy, uplifting aroma that’s perfect for grounding and spiritual connectedness. Suneeta chose this oil for her Sleep Mask as it is said to help calm the mind before bed, ensuring a sound and peaceful sleep. Aside from this, Frankincense’s numerous skin benefits include helping to fade dark marks and regulating oil production.

Myrhh

Myrrh oil's benefits can be attributed to its powerful antioxidant, antifungal, antiviral, anti-inflammatory, anti-parasitic, expectorant, and antispasmodic properties
